TURNING POINTS

I am from Milagro but when I started college I made the decision to live in Gye because traveling from university to my house every day was very tiring. I made two or three hours of travel from my house to ESPOL and the same time back home. Many days I arrived very tired and I did not have the courage to do my homework. The first semester I traveled every day, but when I went to the second semester I asked my parents to let me rent a apartment in Gye. I think that was the best decision I made at that time because I did not have to travel that long to get home. First I did not get used to living alone, it was something new and strange for me, there were days that I missed my family so much that I started to cry alone in my room, I wanted them to be on weekends so I could travel to my parents' house. I think that if I had not made that decision I would not have done well in my studies because of the tiredness and stress that generated me traveling so long. Nowaday, I have b...

STEREOTYPES

Stereotypes are expressions that people create toward other people, these are usually discriminatory, because it catalogs an entire community with an idea that does not necessarily bind all its members. I think the stereotype should not be applied in any case because this can cause a problem in society as this can encourage racism and increase the difference of ideologies between cultures and religions. I have never stereotyped anyone because as I mentioned before these tend to be discriminatory and can cause prejudice to other people, which is a misconception and can divide an entire society, therefore, I think people should not consent this.
